Hunger Campaign
A critical area of poverty is the lack of access to nutritious food. Our goal is to help communities in need by supplying ready-to-eat- meal kits, supporting training programs on sustainable agriculture, and supporting fair access to resources. Donations fuel efforts that reduce hunger.
Why It Matters
Families that struggle to put a meal on their table risk suffering health problems such as malnutrition. Children are less likely to do better in school, and a sudden loss of a job due to health problems can further destabilize their economy.
Campaign Impact
Making sure a family undergoing a sudden financial crisis has access to quality food improves health, reduces debt, and helps the environment.
Health Benefits: Ensuring a family has access to food reduces their risk of getting sick. It gives adults the boost of energy they need to work and provide for their families. Children will also focus on their studies without worrying about their next meal.
Saving Money: Families who are struggling financially are forced into choosing between feeding themselves and paying the utility bill. By providing a family with groceries, they no longer have to worry about making this choice. Instead, their available money can go toward reducing their debt. This stops families from potentially losing power or even their home.
Community Growth: Local food distribution helps reduce waste and provides community health benefits. When surplus food is rescued and redistributed locally, it cuts down on greenhouse gas emissions. Providing families with food also prevents health problems along the way, leading to a healthier community.
