Health Campaign
Providing urgent community health aid is an essential part of our goal to end poverty. Donations made to our Health Campaign fund local medical kit drives, emergency medical treatment, and wellness programs, helping to build stronger communities.
Why It Matters
Health inequalities, often born from conditions out of a person's control, lead to poor public health, job instability, and extreme debt. Low-income groups often don't receive equal medical treatment. Unfortunately, health is often treated as a luxury and not a human right. For this reason, many people living paycheck to paycheck don't seek medical attention, leading to reduced productivity and income loss. When a medical emergency hits, it affects the whole family and weakens the community.
Campaign Impact
Assisting families needing medical care improves lifelong productivity, prevents increasing their debt, and builds a stronger society.
Increased Productivity: Medical support provides families with the treatment they need to live in better health. The parents can focus on work, and children can perform better in school. Covering a medical bill can be the factor that stops the cycle of poverty in their household.
No Medical Debt: Providing a family a lifeline keeps them from losing their home. Their savings will be saved from the high medical expenses. A healthy family means no risk of falling into extreme poverty.
Community Growth: Supporting a single person in need trickles down to societal growth. Helping someone avoid falling into medical debt and seeking the health care they need improves the health of the community as a whole. Communities will become more economically stable and break the cycle of poverty.
Our Plan
To combat the health inequalities, we have the following programs available:
Medical Kit Drives: This program hand-delivers medical supplies to families living in transitional or temporary housing.
Financial Medical Assistance: This program covers medical costs for emergency treatments, children's wellness check-ups, dentistry, and vision work.
Wellness Program: In low-income areas, we offer assistance for vision, dental, and health check-ups to help families without insurance not sacrifice their well-being.
